That's French for the South of France. The Lot Valley is where the Midi turns green. Green because it’s rural, lush and beautiful. But green too in the sense of safeguarding its natural and urban environment. After over three decades of restoration work, the River Lot flows again with pride, and its Valley is a glorious place to holiday in France.

The River Lot begins its 500km journey across the south of France in sparsely populated LOZERE in Languedoc Roussillon, flowing through CANTAL in romantic Auvergne to continue west through AVEYRON and LOT (in Midi Pyrenees in South West France) to finish in LOT-ET-GARONNE in historic Aquitaine. As you’d imagine, landscapes and geography are varied, providing a haven for activity holidays whether your interests are walking holidays or cycling holidays or even fishing holidays. And you'll find too a myriad historic towns and medieval bastides for a charming city break. Interested in gourmet breaks or even a gastronomic break? We offer some of the best cuisine in all France.

We ask nothing of you. Except to say that, if the whole idea of preserving one's heritage and natural environment appeals to you, then you too could be one of the privileged few to get holiday offers, helpful cookery tips and recipes (specially written for us by Jeanne Strang, an expert on the cooking of the region and author of "Goose Fat and Garlic"), wine tasting tips from Paul Strang (an authority on the wines of South West France) who'll share with you some of his favourites among the growers to visit.
