This is the most wonderful place if you love your food rather than the surroundings. It’s an anodyne, though perfectly comfortable modern room on top of the airport with views over the landing strip. But the food and service are the opposite; straight from the first visits I made to France in the 60s, when every relais routier and small restaurant was run by a family on the basis of home-made food, great quality of ingredients and no skimping. I’ve had the best cassoulet of my life here; another day it was lamb en croûte. A three-course menu costs about 10€ and they understand about having to rush to catch your flight. But locals fill this place up, so you have to remember to book. Go for the Cahors wine, I suggest.
